Ordinary upgrade scope
The recorded group covers types 3, 5, 9, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 66, 73, 74, 75, 86, 95 and 125, using material 57 in the game catalogue. An equipment position’s name alone does not prove eligibility; some Chi, accessories, rings and spheres follow other rules. Super, Hyper and Mega are separate.
Base chance
| Upgrade | Base contribution |
|---|---|
| +0 → +1 | 100% |
| +1 → +2 | 100% |
| +2 → +3 | 60% |
| +9 → +10 | 25% |
| +14 → +15 | 0% |
| +34 → +35 | −100% |
From +2 → +3, the contribution falls by 5 percentage points per level. A negative base contribution is not a negative probability: applicable bonuses contribute to the final chance. Check the current in-game chance.
Batches and fractions
One attempt batch advances by one level. The selected attempt count is an integer, but the result can be fractional: 10 copies might leave 9.9 upgraded copies with 0.1 lost. The next integer batch can then include at most 9 copies; the remaining 0.9 is not an additional failure.
Compare type, class, binding and any pre-existing quantity at the destination level. Do not infer successes solely from the final stack size.
Upgraded attributes
A general formula for every attribute is not established. The catalogue shows documented levels and variants; a missing +0 base value remains unknown.
